Purim Appeal: Send Mishloach Manot to Victims of Terror
TU B'SHVAT OUTING
This week, the Terror Victims Association organized a Tu B'Shvat trip for
150 children of families victimized by terror. The children planted trees on
the hillside of Beit Gubrein to symbolize the indestructible Jewish spirit
which has always characterized our nation. Israel's Channel Two television
did a special prime time report on the outing, bringing a rare message of
valor and hope to the Israeli people in these difficult times.
YOUR FAXES CAN HELP!
With more terrorist attacks every day in Israel, we urge you to send faxes
and e-mails to the leaders of your governments, demanding that they stop
supporting Yassir Arafat and the Palestinian Authority. We especially urge
you to fax U.S. President Bush and demand that he place the Palestinian
Authority on the State Department's list of terror organizations. Somehow
when terror is directed against Jews, it isn't called terror. America's
double standard must stop!
ON THE SCENE!
Moments after the recent terrorist bombings in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Hadera, the Terror Victims Association
responded to the emergency.
Cars with teams of volunteers rushed food and drink to the hospitals where families of the victims were gathering.
Volunteers sat with families outside of operating rooms, offering encouragement and counsel. Others babysat through the next day and night so that parents could be at the bedside of
their wounded children. All through the week, trained volunteers and victims of past terrorist attacks visited the hospitals to bring
support and relief to the stricken families.
WE ARE THERE AFTER THE HEADLINES FADE!
After the headlines fade from the news, the Terror Victims Association
continues the work of helping the victimized families. Problems of disability, emotional stress, depression, nightmares, unemployment and marital conflict are common.
In addition to arranging for professional counseling,
families who have been victimized by terrorist attacks in the past
help families who are suffering now.
The Terror Victims Association has been helping terror victims for the last 16 years.
Your donations are vital to our success.
